The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Counsel (BHEC) investigates and prosecutes professional misconduct committed by marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, psychologists, psychological associates, social workers, and licensed specialists in school psychology. Although not every complaint against or dispute with a licensee involves professional misconduct, the Executive Council will provide you with information about how to file a complaint.

To request copies of your counseling records:

Send a written request through one of the methods below. In the request, provide your name, date of birth, and mailing address of where you would like the records sent, along with the dates of service you are requesting the records from.

  1. Send a message through the secure portal used for your appointments.
  2. Send an email to office@embodiedcounselingtexas.com
  3. If you haven’t heard back from us, please contact our office at 972-962-9038 and leave a voice message if we miss your call.
