Charisse Gibson
I’m so glad you’ve made it to this point in your search for a therapist. Reaching out for support takes courage. The journey toward healing can feel daunting at times, but there is freedom, connection, and wholeness within the process as well. I would be honored to walk alongside you through the ups, downs, challenges, and growth. You don’t have to do this alone.
I believe healing happens not only through insight and conversation, but also through reconnecting with the wisdom of the body, nervous system, and deeper parts of ourselves. Many of the clients I work with are intuitive, sensitive, and deeply feeling people who are ready to explore healing on emotional, somatic, and energetic levels.
My Background & Training
I bring over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, working with diverse populations across a variety of care settings—from inpatient hospitals to outpatient clinics and private practice. These experiences have deepened my respect for each person’s unique story and strengthened my ability to meet clients where they are.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Dallas Baptist University and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Woman’s University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas, EMDR Certified, a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist (KAP), and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). I also have specialized training in trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts work, and eating disorder treatment.
My work blends evidence-based trauma therapies with mind-body and intuitive approaches, honoring that healing happens in the brain, body, nervous system, and energetic field.
The “Why” Behind My Work
My heart as a therapist is to create a space where the parts of you that have felt unseen, unheard, or unsafe can finally soften. I aim to hold space for the experiences or emotions that haven’t felt safe to feel or look at—helping you stay connected instead of shutting down.
Together we may explore not only thoughts and emotions, but also body sensations, intuition, imagery, parts of self, and the deeper meaning your experiences may carry.
I work with individuals who are ready to:
Heal from past trauma
Break generational or relational patterns
Release limiting beliefs and old survival roles
Healing relationships with food, body, and exercise
Deepen emotional awareness and self-understanding
Reconnect with their body and nervous system
Strengthen intuition and inner guidance
Cultivate self-trust, compassion, and authenticity
Clients often describe me as relatable, insightful, attentive, accepting, patient, and safe. I lead with curiosity, compassion, humor, intuition, and heart. Therapy with me is collaborative, embodied, and grounded in nervous system attunement.
A Little More About Me
Outside the therapy room, I’m a lover of animals, nature, plants, people, and live music—everything from intimate acoustic sets to high-energy EDM (quite the mix, I know!). I’m an Enneagram 6w7 and neurodivergent. I love exploring farmers markets, thrifting for unique finds, and discovering new coffee shops and restaurants with my husband. We also enjoy traveling and spending time with our three amazing dogs.
If you’re feeling ready to begin—or even just curious about what healing could look like for you—I would be honored to connect.”
