Brenna Gaul
Welcome! I am so glad you are here and have found this page.
I know it can take a lot of courage to seek help from a dietitian. Working through your relationship with food can be scary, so I am happy you are taking this next step! Together we can help you make peace with food by sorting through food rules and diet culture myths to help you live a life of food freedom, and confidence. Parents- I know this is also overwhelming for you, I know you are going great lengths to find a good team for your child, and I am happy to answer any questions in order to make you and your child feel as comfortable as possible!
I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Arkansas. My accredited dietetic internship was completed at Baylor Scott & White in Dallas, TX. I have a strong background in treating both adolescents and adults with eating disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions at all levels of care, including: Residential, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, and outpatient levels of care.
I find joy in helping patients fully experience life again by reducing their anxiety around food and winning back the ability to be fully present with friends and family in food-related situations.
I follow an All Foods Can Fit philosophy and gradually help clients integrate Intuitive Eating principles into their life to find more freedom with food. I focus on supporting clients in decreasing their eating disorder behaviors and finding healthier ways to cope with all the stressors life can bring. I also embrace a weight-inclusive approach to treatment by incorporating the Health at Every Size(R) principles.
I am currently elevating my practice by pursuing the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) certification through the International Association Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) and am an active member in the Dallas Fort-Worth IAEDP Chapter.
I can also provide a faith-based approach with clients if desired to enhance their recovery journey, but also enjoy working with clients of diverse beliefs and backgrounds.
When I am not working, you’ll probably find me baking desserts, going on sunset walks, trying new restaurants with friends, watching 2000’s Rom-Coms, and traveling.
Brenna’s fee is $150 per 50 minute session.
