Ashlyne Kukreja
Hi there! I know finding the right counselor can be stressful and my goal is to meet you wherever you are on your mental health journey.
As a counselor, I prioritize the therapeutic relationship because I see it as one of the most crucial aspects of making changes. I also love that having fun and exploring new things together in the therapy space is totally encouraged! I understand that every individual has unique experiences, challenges, and aspirations so we will work together to make sure you are getting what you need from your time in counseling. I want to empower you to be your most authentic self during our work together!
My background includes working with adolescents, emerging adults, adults, couples, and families in a private practice setting. I am passionate about working with women’s health, teens & young adults, substance use, and the BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ communities. For couples seeking premarital counseling, I am a certified facilitator of the Prepare/Enrich Program. I also have experience helping clients navigate their relationship with their body and food post-bariatric surgery. To better serve my clients, I am trained in EMDR and am currently working toward becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. I am currently serving as an officeholder for the DFW Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
I received a Bachelor’s of Science in both Psychology and Sociology from Texas A&M University (gig ‘em!) in 2019 and my Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hardin-Simmons University in 2022. If personality types are something you love, I am an ISFJ and a 6w5, which are actually both known as “The Defender”! When I’m not at work, I’m probably reading, spending time with my family, hanging out with my pup, Kida, or traveling, which is one of my favorite things to do!
Together, we will explore your thoughts, emotions (we love emotions here!!) and concerns, creating a collaborative and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. I know how hard it can be to not feel seen when you’re struggling but through our partnership, I will be committed to walking alongside you on your journey of self-exploration and growth. It would be an honor to work with you!
